Former President Donald Trump has been under fire from every direction as of late, with establishment media and RINOs within the GOP trying to push him out. But as his lawyer suggests the tide may finally be turning in his favor.
At a critical time, the president landed a major court victory against Michael Cohen, Trump’s former personal attorney who turned on him to try and score himself some notoriety.
Cohen’s frivolous lawsuit claimed that Trump had him sent to prison for writing a tell-all memoir.
The former president’s current lawyer, Alina Habba, noted that this win over Cohen was “the sweetest” court victory she has seen.
Cohen has launched repeated attacks against his former client and come up empty every time, but that hasn’t stopped him from continuing to try.
Habaa says that Cohen “is somebody who has really been a gnat, for lack of better words, he just doesn’t stop.”
To be able to “win and to beat him,” she added, is “tremendous on so many levels. This is somebody who’s made up things about the president forever, and he’s just trying to be relevant, and I’m sure he’ll find another way to still talk about Trump.”
According to Habaa, the judge’s decision to dismiss the lawsuit suggests that after years of watching baseless political attacks be launched against Trump, many coming in the form of lawsuits, judges are finally saying enough is enough and shutting them down.
