Bernie Sanders has a lot of bad, stupid ideas, but that doesn’t mean he’s an idiot. He’s a rather sly fox, and there are a lot of indications of this. Any man who can be a Senator for decades while openly declaring his affection for socialism and communism has to be a good strategist at the very least. At worst, he is one of the craftiest politicians our country has ever seen.
Never has this been more clear than in his 2020 presidential run. He weathered a crazy storm of too many candidates splitting votes every which way. In the midst of that storm, he came out as the clear frontrunner, right when primary voting finally started.
It was a well-timed surge and gave the man who was, politically, the least popular candidate on the stage a real shot at winning the nomination.
So, when Bernie drops out after months of a long campaign, in the middle of an epidemic, and at a time when Joe Biden is at his worst, you can assume that there’s an angle.
Most of the country was fooled by Bernie’s apparent exit. Even his devout supporters think it’s over. One man in the country is seeing through all of it, and that man is President Donald Trump.
