Trump Puts Whole Milk Back in School Lunches in Long Overdue Change

Whole milk is back! Remember when Michelle Obama ruined school lunches back in 2012? That was a big turning point in America. President Donald Trump signed the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act into law this week, as part of the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) initiative.

Many of us can remember the videos of miserable children back when Michelle Obama destroyed school lunch programs. The food was so awful that you wouldn’t want to feed it to a pig. Unless you hated the pig.

That change in 2012 marked the year that there was a dramatic increase in obesity among American children. Kids kept getting fatter and fatter after Michelle Obama eliminated saturated fats from school lunches. Those saturated fats were in things like healthy meats, proteins, and of course, whole milk.

Democrats have also actively worked to keep whole milk out of schools. They blocked the passage of the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act in 2023. This is part of the Democrats’ war against American food producers—especially ranchers and dairy farmers. Whole milk producers will once again be able to sell their products to a huge consumer base that they’ve been shut out of for years.
