Trump Puts a Boatload of Narcos Directly on the Bottom of the Ocean

The Trump administration announced the first kinetic action against a South American drug cartel this week. They declassified and released a video of a boatload of Venezuelan narcos getting blown to bits as they were making a drug run towards the United States. The 11 narcos, the drugs they were carrying, and their boat were sent on a one-way ticket to the bottom of the ocean.

The Democrats usually get a sexual thrill anytime they see a drone strike that “accidentally” kills a bunch of children in Afghanistan or Iraq. But they’re not happy about this. Using the military in a way that benefits and protects America is something that has them running for their fainting couches.

Leftists on social media were asking why the military didn’t just follow the drug boat and arrest the bad guys. There’s a simple answer to that question. We’ve tried interdictions and arrests since the 1980s. How has that worked out? Has the flood of illegal drugs into our country gotten better or worse since then?

Blowing up a boatload of cartel members is a permanent solution. It sends a message to people that maybe it’s no longer worth the risk to join a drug cartel and start running drugs. Those narcos won’t get out of jail one day and go right back to running more poison into our country.

Check out The Five on Fox News as they talk about what a dramatic change this is compared to all previous administrations trying to deal with drugs…
