Twitter has determined President Trump is wrong about the dangers of mail-in voting. The social media giant went so far as to slap a “fact-check” warning label on Trump’s tweets about mail-in voter fraud. The reason Twitter determined Trump is wrong is – because the Washington Post and CNN say he is.
Washington Post reporter Elizabeth Dwoskin wrote, “Trump has made many false claims on social media, particularly on his preferred medium of Twitter, and has also attacked people in ways that critics have argued could violate company policies on harassment and bullying.”
The mainstream media seems to be on a mission to push the legitimacy and efficacy of mail-in voting ahead of the November elections. Last month, CNN reporter Jim Acosta demanded the president produce evidence to back up his claims concerning voter fraud.
The president’s re-election campaign was quick to provide the names of nine people charged in Texas with “vote harvesting” and a political operative in New York who stole absentee ballots and “received seven separate ballots in the mail.”
But this defense of mail-in ballots is new for Democrats. The conclusion of bipartisan 2005 report of the Commission on Federal Election Reform chaired by former Secretary of State James Baker III and a former Democrat President was:
Absentee ballots remain the largest source of potential voter fraud.
