Trump Gives an Update on the Wall He Promised to Build if Elected

If you have ever ventured into the lands of the internet, you have seen memes, critiques, discussions, praise and outright fear, all centered around Trump’s wall. Some lament that it sends an unwelcome message to people who might want to come to our country (duh). Others are frustrated that it can’t be built overnight. Regardless, everyone seems to have a strong opinion on the wall.

The most frustrating of those opinions come from mainstream media. They have never failed to criticize the effectiveness of any potential wall (even though they have protected societies for millenia). Worse yet, they try to consistently insinuate that the wall has been forgotten. Well, Trump, as always, has a fast response for that. The wall has not been forgotten, and he even gave us an update on its progress.

This video is short, sweet and to the point. Trump is on top of the wall issue, and rather than read about it here, take his word for it. As you load the video and wonder if the wall is anywhere near enough, consider this food for thought:

The wall was never intended to make illegal immigration impossible. Its purpose is to raise the opportunity cost of taking such a venture. It needs only to make crossing the border more difficult and it will immediately ease the financial, social and security burdens we face as a country. That alone makes it worth the effort and investment.
