Tim Walz Throws in the Towel for Good

Tim Walz just waved the white flag on his political career—and not a moment too soon.

The Democrat governor of Minnesota, who somehow ended up as Kamala Harris’s running mate in the 2024 presidential disaster, says he’s done with politics for good. “I will never run for an elected office again. Never again,” Walz told an interviewer. That’s not just a retirement speech—that’s a surrender.

And we all know why. It’s not because he’s had a change of heart. It’s because a billion-dollar fraud scandal exploded under his watch. That’s right—up to $9 billion in taxpayer cash, meant for things like meal programs and Medicaid, vanished into thin air. Or more accurately, it went into luxury cars, jewelry, overseas vacations, and, according to federal prosecutors, possibly even into the hands of Islamic terrorists. Over 90 people charged. And yes, many tied to Minnesota’s Somali community, a group Walz and the Democrat machine have spent years coddling.

Back in December, Walz tried to play the “accountability” card, saying, “This is on my watch, I am accountable for this.” But instead of cleaning it up, he praised street protesters who were out there blocking ICE agents and throwing tantrums over Trump’s immigration crackdown.

“These are heroes on the streets,” he said. Heroes? Really? People protesting deportations of illegal immigrants tied to violent crime? That’s Walz’s idea of leadership.

He tried to run for a third term as governor, then backed out. Now he says he’s out for good. Probably because even Democrats don’t want to touch him anymore. Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar just jumped into the race for governor, saying she’ll clean up the mess. Good luck with that. She’s not been a particularly successful Senator.

From a failed vice presidential run to a billion-dollar scandal and now a vanishing act—Tim Walz’s political legacy is a dumpster fire.
