Including the money that the Biden regime sent to foreign governments, the United States spent almost $5 trillion on COVID that we didn’t have. The money, of course, was “printed” or invented out of thin air on balance sheets at the Federal Reserve and that is why it now costs $13 at my local grocery store for a dozen eggs now. (It’s not even a baker’s dozen. It’s 12 eggs for $13!)
Getting federal spending back under control and destroying the Deep State mechanisms for ripping off the American people are one of the primary goals of the second Trump administration. The president and the head of DOGE, Elon Musk, held an amazing press conference this week from the Oval Office that you need to see.
First, just consider the optics of what happened in this presser. Elon Musk’s young son was there, looking snappy in a suit. The unspoken message from Musk and Trump is that they are cutting government spending for the sake of future generations.
But also listen very carefully to how President Trump talks about the corrupt spending. Most conservative media outlets refer to the out-of-control spending as “waste, fraud, and abuse.” President Trump drops the “waste” when talking about this.
Calling it waste implies that it was a mistake. Many people in the federal government committed fraud and abused the taxpayers—and they didn’t do it by mistake.
