If you’re not familiar with comedian Shane Gillis, you’ve really been missing out. In an age when so many comedians have “gone woke,” Gillis has remained true to his craft. He understands that comedy is about making people laugh and not just foam at the mouth with political talking points from the Democrat Party.
Here’s a clue that Gillis understands, and which Stephen Colbert could have benefited from. It’s a comedian’s job to make fun of everyone. If you only hurl insults at Donald Trump while never cracking even a tiny joke about any Democrats, you’re not doing comedy. You’re just a hack engaging in social engineering and tyranny.
Gillis was picked to host the ESPY Awards for sports on ABC/Disney this year. Naturally, the Democrat Party’s woke cancellation brigade is trying to pressure ABC/Disney into never letting Gillis host the awards again—and to issue a groveling apology (which Gillis won’t do).
What thought crime did Gillis commit? He makes fun of the WNBA!
But that’s the thing about Gillis, if you’ve never seen his routine before. He makes fun of everyone in a lighthearted way, just like a good comedian is supposed to do. He also makes fun of Trump and does a great Trump impression.
