Don’t forget, everyone. Christopher Columbus was a genocidal monster. You see, he weaponized smallpox in order to devastate the indigenous populations of the Americas. He did it on purpose, and he did it solely to be an evil racist.
Nevermind the fact that germ theory was established more than 300 years after his death. Nevermind the fact that Columbus didn’t even land on mainland America. Nevermind the fact that Columbus saw his primary duty as converting the indigenous to Christianity, and that’s tough to do when someone is dead. The narrative you’re supposed to accept is that Columbus was evil, but the facts just don’t back up the left’s narrative on this.
Here’s the real truth. Christopher Columbus has long been regarded as a hero for a reason. He did something incredible. He undertook a perilous journey that ultimately changed the world.
Aside from his heroism, he was propped up as an important figure in the early 20th century in order to combat discrimination against Italian Americans. A lot of people forget that.
The life of Columbus was truly remarkable, and in this short video, Michael Knowles covers the basics. Columbus came from nothing and ultimately achieved one of the most significant accomplishments in all of human history. That’s why he is remembered fondly. Watch this video for a nice reminder. Then, make sure the people in your life aren’t falling victim to the dishonest narrative that tries to rewrite history at every turn.
