Do you remember when President Trump said in 2016 that the presidential race was “rigged” against him?
Well, as it turns out, he was essentially right!
It was recently admitted by former Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman Donna Brazile that, indeed, the DNC’s efforts were rigged in favor of Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and against Clinton archrival Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders. So hurtful is this revelation to Democrats that some outlets in the mainstream media have purposely not reported it, while others have interviewed specific pundits on the Left, who have claimed not to be “surprised” at this admission.
Of course, the person who really ought to be feeling the “Bern” over this issue is Senator Sanders, especially in light of the fact that people like Trump pollster Tony Fabrizio have been saying that Sanders might have won the 2016 election if it hadn’t been for the DNC’s dastardly dirty work. Certainly, any number of pre-election polls were giving Sanders the edge over Trump in hypothetical matchups.
Thus, it should be no surprise that Sanders may pose a credible threat to Trump in 2020 if the Vermont Senator chooses to run again for president. (Sanders has already stated that when he runs for his Senate seat in 2018, it will be as an Independent, rather than as a Democrat. Whether this would also be the case in the 2020 presidential race is unknown.)
