We’re still mad at Elon Musk and we’ll never trust him again. However, he did have some interesting things to say about his time at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) when he appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast this week. He explained the real reasons why the Democrats have steadfastly refused to clean up the Social Security registry.
Between FY2021 and January 2025, the unelected Biden regime gave Social Security numbers to 4.8 million non-citizens. Most of them were illegal aliens, who are obviously not supposed to be able to register for an SSN.
On top of that, DOGE found more than 7 million names in the registry who were recorded as being over 120 years old and still drawing benefits. Some were over 300 years old, according to the system.
The 7 million names of these ancient people were purged from Social Security. However, nothing has been done since March of this year to remove all the illegal aliens from the system. Democrats have fought tooth-and-nail against removing them, and Republicans have been so weak that they’ve only passed one round of DOGE cuts this year.
Democrats say that illegal aliens are not drawing Social Security benefits. That’s technically true, but as Musk points out, that’s not the point. When an illegal alien obtains an SSN, that becomes a “golden ticket” to every welfare program under the sun.
