The Real Losers of the Democrat Debate: The NBC Hosts who Lost Control, SC Senator Calls It a “Hot Mess”

The Democratic presidential debate in South Carolina earlier this week featured the seven candidates sparring with each other in a chaotic display of what one South Carolina Senator described as a “hot mess.”

Viewers wasted no time in blaming the moderators — Gayle King, Margaret Brennan of “Face the Nation,” Norah O’Donnell and correspondents Bill Whitaker and Major Garrett — for allowing the debate to spiral out of control.

Former New York Congressman Steve Israel tweeted, “The CBS moderators are like referees at a hockey game….”

Another tweeted, “Congratulations @CBS your #DemDebate2020 was arguably the worst of all time. That is largely due to your lack of moderators and uncontrolled (and unreliable) crowd.”

At one point, former vice president Joe Biden snapped at the moderators, “I know how you cut me off all the time but I’m not going to be quiet anymore. OK?”

Later in the debate, King pleaded with the candidates to keep to the time limit, promising Biden he would have time to speak.

“You keep promising me that, but you haven’t done it yet,” Biden responded.

AP’s David Bauder summed the night by writing, “The journalists looked like substitute teachers in front of an unruly school class.”

Watch the video as the Fox News team shows what disarray the Democratic Party has fallen into and who Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina believes will win the Democratic presidential primary in his state tomorrow.
