What could the government buy with $17 million? Sure, in the grand scheme of the hundreds of billions spent every year, it might seem like a paltry sum. But, it is exactly this kind of frivolous spending done on repeat and in every federal office that accounts for so much of our deficit. So, if every office was audited and forced to spend more efficiently, what could that do?
Altruistically, $17 million would be enough to completely abolish medical debt for 34,000 Americans. It could also provide housing for 500 homeless veterans. While that doesn’t end the problem entirely, that’s 500 more of our brave heroes getting the treatment they deserve. Another way that could serve the complaints of the left is to purchase 6.8 million school lunches for struggling kids.
This is why we often talk about the left walking their walk. Or, in more blatant terms, it’s why we call them hypocrites. They could actually accomplish the bulk of their goals if they just committed to reducing wasteful spending. Instead, they only know how to bloat the budget.
This is one investigation. And, it has completely failed the left’s agenda. With this one decision, they could make serious progress on several of the issues they claim to support. Imagine if this approach was applied throughout Washington. Instead, we get the contents of this video. Take a look. It will show you how wasteful this spending is and how fruitless the entire investigation has become.
