The Gas Tax Repeal is Driving CA Residents to the Polls

It seems like California’s Democrats have never seen a tax they didn’t like, and primary voters appear to be taking aim at candidates who favor hitting them at the gas pump.

The once vaunted “Blue Wave” has crested and crashed out to sea with Republicans now claiming an edge in the generic polls. That holds true with California voters who have had enough of liberal politicians pushing to take more and more money out of the pockets of hard-working Americans.

On this One America News Network (OAN) exclusive, a West Coast backlash against a gas tax is driving voters toward Republicans heading into the mid-term elections.

Leading the charge against the high taxes is gubernatorial candidate Travis Allen, who is taking the frustrations of everyday Americans to heart and looking to repeal the most onerous gas tax in the Golden State’s history. Allen’s conservative opponent and business leader, John Cox, agrees with taking a stand against the outrageous burdens the Democrat-led electorate has placed on residents.

Californians have been recently hit with another 12-cent levy at the pump for regular gasoline and 20 cents for the diesel often used by commercial vehicles. Democrats like Gov. Jerry Brown disagree with rolling back taxes. In his view, Californians enjoy massive economic wealth and should pay up.
