Joe Biden is now proposing to offer student loan forgiveness to all Americans, including the consideration of an executive action that would be taken on his first day in office. The news comes as a wave of relief to many Americans, as one in six of the nation’s adults have borrowed money for education.
But is Biden’s free money as good as it claims? Political activist and commentator Charlie Kirk joined Newsmax TV’s Sean Spicer and Lyndsay Keith to discuss the plans of some lawmakers to push student loan forgiveness. In his words, “This is a scam.”
Kirk notes the student forgiveness scam penalizes good choices, as many young Americans chose not to borrow money for education, instead attending more affordable schools or seeking alternative methods to work their way through college. Others chose not to attend college at all. Should these Americans receive a bonus for bypassing college debt?
The real issue is Democrats are addressing the real financial problems of young Americans. To garner increased support from the next generation, the Left is throwing its promises of free money far and wide.
Yet Kirk notes the growing lockdowns are the real threat to the next generation. Keeping kids at home, shutting down the economy through business closures and shutdowns of American religious institutions are leading to increased loneliness, suicide and mental health issues that will plague Americans far more than student loan debt.

The Biden plan is limited to $25,000 a person. This is not going to be helpful to the majority of college students because it is probably only a semester or a semester and a half of tuition.
I don’t agree with the tuition forgiveness plan at all because if the student is too dumb to realize that the accumulating debt can never be repaid. Then they are too dumb to be awarded a degree from college. One of my family members ran up over a $100,000 debt. It is unrealistic to think she could ever pay it back, Her degree is in an area of teaching that is not even taught today. And now her poor husband is responsible for the debt too and she can not find a job. And to make matters worse the area of study is the only thing she is certified to teach. She is too dumb to be considered a college graduate or to be given a loan.
I, responsibly, paid off my granddaughter’s student loans to the tune of a little over $100,000! If the democrats do this, I want a refund from the democrats!!! The democrats are promoting irresponsible behavior in our younger generation!!!
So everybody that did not go to college is going to pay for those that did irresponsibly?

So who pays for the No-Pay education? Not the teachers union – they will never take a pay cut. Not the Universities – they will never cut prices or cease having the begging cup out for more and ever more government “subsidies.” But yes, the “taxpayers”, of whom there are fewer than 50% are actually paying taxes and whose taxes Biden has openly stated that he will increase. Yes, the businesses that Biden has sworn to increase their taxes “pay” but since corporations do not pay taxes they just raise prices to us the American consumer to pay them the real payees are every American consumer. And also every American pays because printing money to pay for “No-Pay” education will devalue the dollar further making it a hidden tax on every American.
I paid for my education by working 60 hours a week. I did that while getting a BA, a MA, a Ph.D., and a partial MS. “Free-education” means learning no sense of responsibility, no sense of the real world, no sense of accomplishment, and no sense of justice. It does mean learning how to be an altruistic parasite who feels (not thinks – that is “taught out of university students) entitled and does not feel that they have to ‘earn’ just their existence will suffice.
It will not. That subjective view is antithetical to the objective real world and will either result in long term failure and despair or becoming a far left Democrat, or a realization that the truth is that in reality you must earn your way. Oddly that is one very real definition of: The American Way.
The Democrats are doing those young adults a total injustice. Nothing in life is free and they need to pay back there loans just like I had to do. Besides that somebody has to pay the money and that somebody is taxpayers and that’s not right. Why should I have to pay everybody else’s college loans especially after I had to pay mine. I am from a different generation and graduated from college in 1974. While I will concede that the cost of higher education has increased, I note as well that wages have also increased although with a marked disparity. I would just like to say that I came from a poor family where the death of my father in 1959 left my single mother to care for 3 children ages 6 – 12 as best she could. When it came time for me to go to college (the only one of the three), I was informed that per current financial estimation my mother ought to have been able to pay a certain percentage of my tuition, so any grants would be made on that basis. The estimation did not take into consideration that my mother was still paying off loans taken after my father’s death, loans affording monies necessary for simple survival. But statistics are statistics and work well on paper, but not so well in real life. This comment, however, is not a criticism of the shortcomings in the system. What I said is just background as I obtained student loans that enabled me to go to and complete Higher Education.
It took me 10 years to pay off my student loans via a payment scheduled that was worked out mutually between me and the creditors. I will say this: that, when properly budgeted, the re-payment was not as much of a hardship as one might think. And when the day of the final payment came, the sense of pride, accomplishment, joy and relief was ineffable, and a testimony to the inestimable benefits created by simple perseverance, acceptance of personal financial responsibility and acknowledgment of one’s own obligations. There are lessons to be learned from the repaying of contractually agreed-upon debts, and lessons to be lost from the allegedly-compassionate forgiving of said debts.
As a Christian I will be eternally indebted to the One who paid the price for all the transgressions I would never be able to pay. But because of that, I am better able to understand my own responsibility (and ability) to pay for those obligations that fall within my individual sphere of influence. Paying back a Student Loan must be considered both a challenge and a moral/contractual obligation that will build character. And if we cannot endorse a system that builds character, then we should vehemently denounce any system that offers a lesser alternative.

I was born in Poland and attended college in my old country. Any naive dummy – thinking that you will get free education in a socialist system is very wrong. If socialism prevails in the USA you will have the privilege class of rulers and party members with children which will always have priority in college placement over other people no matter what their IQ . Only very gifted children have some chance to get admitted into college. The rest and under-privileged children will compete for left over spaces in the school, sometimes to the rate of 10-200 applicants per one opening.

This morning I read that Mike Pence asked the court to dismiss the case about being the one to be able to help President Trump overturn the electoral college votes. So, we are facing more than a demonrat ran fraudulent election. Why haven’t our Republican senators and congressmen stood up for us? The few that have said they will help is far to less than what it should be. It should not be “maybe” I will support the country—it should be “of course” I will support our President and the people who voted all of us in to do our job. I can’t figure it out and I am not a stupid person. I can’t be the only one who feels like this. To know that our Vice President is basically turning his back on the President and our country hurts— especially since he is from my state. If someone could explain what is going on then maybe it wouldn’t be so hard to accept. I think now President Trump is going to have to declare martial law to save us.
