For all of the bluster and viciousness in politics today, there’s a surprising truth that even the most devout conservatives often miss. President Trump is a surprisingly honest, kind and good-natured person. His Twitter account can be absolutely savage, and he’ll never shy away from telling it like it is, but that makes him more trustworthy than most people really give him credit for.
Consider the latest news bits circulating. In an interview, President Trump was asked if he would listen to a foreign group that promised him intel on an opposing candidate. He said the most outrageous thing possible: yes. In the interview, he made it perfectly clear that he would be curious and open to listening. That seems crazy until you stop to think about it.
This is one of the most candid responses from an American politician in modern times. How could he possibly be more honest? He also followed up on that answer by explaining that he would involve the FBI if there was any hint of illegal activity. Obviously, President Trump is not the criminal the left wants him to be, but he’s also more genuine than even a lot of conservatives notice.
