Texas University Votes to Bar Conservative Student Group

All over the country, the notion of free speech on college campuses is a dying concept. Absorbed in the absurd notion that hurtful speech (or speech that simply disagrees with the leftist views) is a literal act of violence, college students and administrators alike have taken great efforts to ensure that conservative voices are shunned and silenced on their campus. Most often, this has been achieved through the bully tactics of mob behavior. However, one Texas university decided to take a more democratic approach to censorship when they voted to bar a conservative student group from their campus.

At Texas State University, the student body government voted to ban the campus’s Turning Point USA chapter – a conservative group designed to provide a rare platform and community for disenfranchised conservative students. The students engaging in this censorship cited all of the usual leftist reasons for singling out the group, including their debunked, tired myths of “racism” and “white supremacy”. Ironically enough, though, its white leftist students who were caught on tape harassing and ridiculing the conservative group’s female Hispanic chapter leader.

Supposedly in the name of tolerance, the academic left has become one of the most hateful and intolerant groups on the planet – a group unable to accept the fact that there are other ideas and viewpoints that exist besides their own.
