Texas just lit a fire under a story that’s going viral for all the right reasons—and the left’s worst nightmare.
Governor Greg Abbott just called out what many conservatives have warned about for years: secret Sharia courts operating right here in the United States. Not in Michigan. Not in New York. This is happening in Texas. Yes, Texas—the state known for cowboys, the Constitution, and not taking nonsense from anyone.
According to Governor Abbott, so-called “tribunals” in Collin and Dallas Counties are allegedly acting as rogue courts, handing down decisions based on Islamic law. These aren’t just community mediators trying to help people talk things out. These are people reportedly issuing rulings with the illusion of legal authority—as if we live in some parallel legal system where U.S. law doesn’t apply.
Abbott didn’t mince words. “Legal disputes in Texas must be decided based on American law rooted in the fundamental principles of American due process, not according to Sharia law dispensed in modern-day star chambers,” he said. That’s not just a warning shot—that’s a full-on siren blast.
But hang on, it gets better. Abbott also formally designated the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) as foreign terrorist and transnational criminal organizations. That means they’re banned from buying land in Texas, and anyone helping them could face serious legal heat. Cue the outrage from CAIR, who are now calling the move “defamatory and lawless.” Kind of ironic coming from folks accused of helping set up courts that ignore American law.
The left wants to pretend this is about religious freedom. Wrong. This is about legal authority. You can worship however you want—but you don’t get to create your own legal system in someone’s basement.
If you think this is just a Texas issue, think again.
