A surprise witness for Nancy Pelosi’s Jan. 6 House select committee backfired this week, with her words contradicting the testimony of Trump’s leader of security.
Cassidy Hutchinson, who served as a White House aide late in the Trump administration, claimed Trump didn’t care about the American people and tried to take over a vehicle to flee the crowd storming the Capitol Building. There’s only one big problem with her testimony.
The person who was with Trump at the same time as her story said flat out that this did not happen. The stunt fell flat, leaving the committee’s efforts at Trump impeachment 3.0 at a halt.
It’s part of the pattern for the left in the ongoing sideshow to slam Republicans and convince voters not to vote red in November. With nothing to show for running Washington for nearly two years, all Democrats have left is to blame Trump.
But no one is buying that story now, as gas is at record highs and inflation skyrockets under the left’s radical policies. This November is sure to show how far the left will fall as conservatives are hopeful to take back Congress and help stop the Jan. 6 committee and get something done to help Americans instead.
