Students Support Socialism…Until Put to the Ultimate Test with their GPA

It’s really strange as we move into the 2020 election cycle that so many Democrats are coming right out with straight faces and saying, “Hooray for socialism! Socialism is wonderful!” A normal person hears that and thinks, “Right. Socialism is so awesome that the Founders gave us the Second Amendment to prevent it.”

When an adult politician gives socialism a glowing report card, you automatically know that they are a liar, a grifter, a cheat and probably a secret murderous totalitarian. But when a college person says socialism is just ducky, you have to realize that they’ve just been indoctrinated to believe that for at least 12 years.

Cabot Phillips of Campus Reform is a young conservative who is really good at breaking big ideas like socialism vs. capitalism down and making it relevant to college students’ lives. If most of us heard a college student praising socialism, we’d say something like, “That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard,” or, “Get out of my house! I never loved you!” Admittedly, we probably don’t win over very many hearts and minds like this.

Cabot, on the other hand, has a way of getting college students to think through the dopey things about socialism that their Women’s Studies professors have indoctrinated them with. It’s actually really fun to see the way Cabot makes the light bulb go off above the heads of these students. Check out his methods and the awesome reactions in this video when Cabot suggests that a bunch of college students apply socialism to their lives in a relevant way.
