Starbucks Fires Barista AND Manager who Called Cop a Pig on Cup

Have you heard the phrase, “Get woke, go broke?” It’s been around for a while now, and it highlights how pandering to the extremists on the left is a universally bad business decision.

While Obama was in office, a lot of people started to assume that progressivism was sweeping the country. It turns out that everyone was just giving Twitter too much credit. The vast majority of Americans understand how stupid ‘wokeness’ is, and we all hate it.

This is why Star Wars has lost so much following. It’s why the NFL took a serious hit when they were protecting Kaepernick, and it’s why Facebook has decided not to be a political censure. The majority of Americans (and especially among those who have jobs) are tired of having companies shame and police them. We’re all done.

That’s why this story from Starbucks is so interesting. The coffee giant was one of the first on the woke bandwagon. They opened their bathrooms to the homeless and ejected police from a store when customers claimed to feel uncomfortable.

All of that changed recently. When an employee wrote “Pig” on a cop’s coffee cup, Starbucks sided with law enforcement.

They didn’t just fire the employee. They have now fired the manager too. This is a major departure from their wokeness of the past several years, and it might be a big indicator of political shifting across the country.

This video explains the whole story and offers some insights as to where we’re all headed.
