During the presidential election, Donald Trump did not receive heavy backing from Millennials. While he did receive some votes from this demographic, Millennials overwhelmingly voted for Hillary Clinton. There are numerous reasons as to why this is often the case, most of which simply come from inexperience with the political system, paying taxes and how certain stances affect the rest of the world.
That is why many are more likely to convert over to becoming a Republican (or at least vote for more Republican based politicians and ideas) as they get older and experience more life events. This is exactly what the case is with current Millennials and President Donald Trump.
It is important to note Millennials do not support Donald Trump in every single decision. This, however, is a sign many younger voters are starting to learn about modern politics. It shows that while they may not agree with someone 100% of the time, it doesn’t mean they have to disagree with them 100% of the time (although this, sadly, is the case for many Democrats as they refuse to support someone, even if they know the person is in the right).
The vast majority of younger voters are now seeing the importance of having a career businessman at the head of the country. Career politicians, lawyers and doctors do not know how to run a business or what actually makes a fair trade. Someone who use to run a multi-billion dollar international company does.
