President Donald Trump is about to reopen one of the world’s most iconic prisons to help keep criminals off of America’s streets – and the left is absolutely losing it.
Over the weekend, President Trump announced that he was ordering the Bureau of Prisons and other federal agencies to rebuild and reopen the infamous Alcatraz prison, to send away the “dregs of society.”
Trump’s plan is to open up this legendary prison and ship the most violent criminals America has there to ensure that they can NEVER harm another innocent American again.
“REBUILD, AND OPEN ALCATRAZ! For too long, America has been plagued by vicious, violent, and repeat Criminal Offenders, the dregs of society, who will never contribute anything other than Misery and Suffering,” Trump wrote in his announcement.
He added, “When we were a more serious Nation, in times past, we did not hesitate to lock up the most dangerous criminals and keep them far away from anyone they could harm.”
The president continued “We will no longer be held hostage to criminals, thugs, and Judges that are afraid to do their job and allow us to remove criminals, who came into our Country illegally. The reopening of ALCATRAZ will serve as a symbol of Law, Order, and JUSTICE. We will, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
And just like they do for pretty much anything Trump does, leftists had a meltdown.
Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA) started crying that “Trump was pledging to reopen Alcatraz” as even as he “continues to tussle with the courts over mass deportations of immigrants” which is pretty funny because he’s the kind of coward who Trump notes is too scared to hold criminals accountable.
Far left California State Senator Scott Weiner (D) claimed that Trump “wants to turn Alcatraz into a domestic gulag right in the middle of San Francisco Bay.”
Weiner went on to claim – ironically enough – that Trump’s plan to put prisoners in prison is “an attack on the rule of law.”
Why is it that the Democrats seem to oppose anything which would make America better and safer?
