It’s actually incredible how out-of-touch with the American people the Democrats are.
CNN’s senior data reporter Harry Enten was somehow surprised to learn that the majority of Americans don’t want their government to steal from them… as it that were such a novel concept.
Enten was discussing the numbers behind the popularity of President Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) when he said that he was “shocked” to see the figures.
“This, to me, was one of the more shocking figures that I saw. Made me go, ‘Wait a minute, hold on one second, whoa!’ Enten said.
He then pointed to the screen which showed data from a CBS News poll that showed a 54% majority of Americans believe that DOGE should influence government spending operations and a 51% majority agree with President Trump’s efforts to cut staff at our bloated government agencies.
The interesting thing is that left-wing CBS isn’t exactly known for having the most “fair” or “unbiased” polls – so you can be sure the REAL American support for Trump’s fraud and waste cutting efforts are even higher than what Enten is reporting.
“So, yeah, Elon Musk might not be that popular, but these cuts and the idea of spending cuts, at least within the federal government and cutting at government agencies, that actually has majority support,” he continued. “I was truly surprised by this, Kate. But the numbers are the numbers.”
