Senator Tom Cotton WARNS Voters that the People’s Business is Not Getting Done

Republicans have been trying to warn the American people for some time now that Democrats obsession with impeaching President Trump has all but rendered Congress impotent in what it should be doing. Now, even some moderate Democrats think enough is enough.

But most Democrats interviewed by Roll took the ironic path of blaming the media for the public’s perception they are primarily focused on investigating and potentially impeaching Trump. “Maybe it’s because of what you guys are writing about 24/7,” Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney said when asked about the DCCC poll.

Other Democrats, however, are becoming more vocal with their frustration that the narrative is that impeachment is all that their party cares about. Rep. Max Roe said, “I’m not talking about Congress not doing its job. I’m not talking about checks and balances and this and that. But I am talking about us maintaining our focus, maintaining the trust of the American people.”

Oregon Rep. Kurt Schrader, who heads the political arm of the centrist Blue Dog Coalition points to an internal Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee polling memo leaked to Politico that shows most voters see Democrat’s top priority to be investigating President Trump.

All the while, the average voter’s priorities are health care, the economy, and immigration. None of those issues are being worked on. Yes it seems that despite Nancy Pelosi’s assurance to the American people that Democrats can walk and chew gum at the same time, it’s become apparent that they can’t.
