Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) recently sat down with Andrew Wilkow of Blaze TV to expose the lies that socialist like Sen. Bernie Sanders (Dem – VT) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (Dem — NY) tell about life under capitalism.
Ocasio-Cortez, who goes by the Twitter handle AOC, does her best to separate herself from the socialism as seen in Venezuela and the Democratic Socialism of Scandinavian countries.
To AOC, capitalism is an evil that we must purge from our land and socialism is the obvious choice for its heir apparent. She told Bloomberg last April, “To me, capitalism is irredeemable.”
AOC believes that any warnings about the dangers of socialism are just “fear-mongering that government is going to take over every corporation and government is going to take over every business or every form of production.”
For the likes of AOC and Sanders, corporations are to be feared, not socialism. Her constant refrain is “capitalism bad, socialism good.” In her words:
“It’s just as much a transformation about bringing democracy … Because at the end of the day, as workers and as people in society, we’re the ones creating wealth”.
Watch this video as Sen. Paul explains the real differences in the two ideologies. Both systems have a 1%. It’s just a question of how one makes it to each.
