A Republican Congressman from the state of California has introduced a legislation which he says is aimed to fight the Democrats – but it could secretly harm Republicans the most!
Rep. Kevin Kiley’s (R-CA) new legislation places a ban on states from redrawing their congressional maps before the 2030 census.
Publicly, the congressman stated he “introduced legislation to stop [California Democrat Gov. Gavin] Newsom’s plan to abolish the Citizens Redistricting Commission, seize its powers for himself, and remove all checks and balances in California.”
The bill WOULD stop Newsom – but it would also stop every other governor in every other state, including in Texas where Republicans are about to redraw the maps to gain five seats in Congress.
This has got to be the most establishment Republican move imaginable.
He’s so worried about losing his own seat, that he’s going against his own party to try and shut down an effort that has MASSIVE support from the American people who WANT a GOP that will actually do something to fight back against the crooked Democrats.
And perhaps most embarrassing? He’s been on a full-blown press tour on every liberal media outlet imaginable trying to drum up support for his bill.
He may be pretending like he’s doing this to fight Gavin Newsom, but anybody with a brain can see right through this guy’s ploy.
Americans are sick and tired of these kinds of Republicans!
