Secret Pentagon UFO Program Revealed

If you think that secret government programs set up to investigate UFO sightings exist only in the realm of science fiction, think again. As incredible as it sounds, the Pentagon has been running such a program for over a decade now, and we’re just now learning about its existence.

The multi-million dollar program was set up at the direction of Congress for the purpose of investigating sightings of unidentified aircraft and other aerial phenomena that have been reported by pilots and other military personnel. This program was dubbed “The Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program”, and knowledge of its existence was limited to just a handful of high-ranking government officials.

Though the program was started by then Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, it received bipartisan support. However, it seems as if the program was ended around 2012.

There’s no doubt that the government throws money at a number of bizarre programs, but the fact that Congress lent enough significance to UFO sightings to spend millions of dollars investigating them is interesting to say the least. There’s no word yet on what The Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program revealed, though if it did find anything unordinary it’s likely we’d never know.
