It’s crazy. The left genuinely doesn’t understand the concept of the tyranny of the majority. They go on and on about standing up for and protecting minorities, and all the while, they completely miss the real point.
Minority status isn’t determined by skin color or sexual orientation. It’s determined by beliefs. The protections in the Constitution are designed to give people the right, and the opportunity, to disagree with the majority.
We don’t have a problem with institutionalized racism or sexism in this country. We have a problem with political and religious bigotry. The left violently hates anyone who dares to disagree with them, and you will never see a better display of that than in Portland Oregon.
In this progressive city, a left-wing terrorist organization is literally propped up by the mayor and local police. They routinely, violently assault people on the streets with impunity. They are modern-day brown shirts, and the radical violence has pushed the rest of Oregon past the brink.
There is a legitimate movement in rural Oregon to leave the state. They know that Democrats will use their tyrannical majority to prevent the creation of a new state, so the clever conservatives of Oregon are trying to secede to another state instead.
Ultimately, this will probably go the way of all other modern secession discussions. What really matters is the underlying problem, and Tim Pool does a decent job of explaining the situation in this video. When a self-admitted leftist is this frustrated with his own side, you know things are bad.
