Rapper Cardi B’s Amazing Anti-Tax Rant

It isn’t very often that celebrities use their platforms to espouse conservative viewpoints. Recently, though, conservatives fighting for lower taxes found an ally in the most unlikely of people—rapper Cardi B.

Cardi B explains that she had to pay 40% of her income in taxes. Now, she wants to know what the government is going to do with her money. Cardi B, like many people, sees the government as wasting the money they collect in taxes without doing as much good as the money should enable them to.

Chances are that Cardi B will still vote Democrat simply because of the circle she is in. However, it’s always humorous to see celebrities coming to grips with the consequences of the policies they help promote.

The reality is that no one likes high taxes, and even those who fight against tax cuts will often have a wakeup call when the bill comes due. This is especially true when they start looking around at the ways their hard-earned money is now being spent.

To Cardi B, welcome to the side of individual freedom and responsibility. She might not stay there long, but – contrary to popular belief – conservatives are very open and accepting people who will welcome support from any American, even #NeverTrumper Cardi B.
