Former senior adviser to the Clintons, Mark Penn, argued Americans’ view of President Biden changed significantly following the Afghanistan withdrawal. Biden’s approval rating has dropped drastically every single week for several weeks now with no end in sight. Americans clearly aren’t happy with how President Biden is handling things.
New data from a Harvard-Harris poll on whether Trump or Biden is the better president showed Trump receiving 51 percent of the votes. Less than half of Americans surveyed approved of the job Biden is doing as president.
Penn said, “I think you’re seeing a continued decline here of the president. Serious change in how the president is viewed after Afghanistan. You know, 57 percent say he may be too old to be president. Forty-nine percent don’t think he’s mentally fit.
“His overall approval is 48, down four points. But when you look at the specifics of what kind of job is he doing on Afghanistan, only 35 percent approval. Immigration, 40 percent approval. You see some serious problems here.”
