President Trump vs Amazon: Who Will Win this Battle?

Fox News Politics Editor Chris Stirewalt recently made some guarded yet well-reasoned comments about President Trump’s war on Amazon. He addresses what Trump’s reasons may be for taking a stand against Jeff Bezos.

This follows a twitter war in which Trump tweeted over the past few days:

I am right about Amazon costing the United States Post Office massive amounts of money for being their Delivery Boy. Amazon should pay these costs (plus) and not have them bourne by the American Taxpayer. Many billions of dollars. P.O. leaders don’t have a clue …” 8:55 AM – Apr 3, 2018

Pundits from both the left and right have ridiculed Trump for picking a fight “he cannot win” but Stirewalt doesn’t think Trump’s end game is to stifle Amazon. Something the mainstream media once again misses.

It … will be seen as an example of the kind of floundering ineptitude that led Trump to sinking poll numbers and electoral defeat.”~ Matthew Yglesias, VOX

Apparently, Mr. Yglesias hasn’t heard the news that Trump’s most recent approval ratings are a full three points higher than Obama’s at the same point in his presidency.

Watch the video, it shows a clip of President Trump going off on Jeff Bezos and Amazon for taking advantage of taxpayers.
