Predictions: Who Bernie and Biden Will Pick for their VP

After Super Tuesday’s it became clear that the party of diversity and progress will have to choose between a 77 year-old white man and a 78 year-old white man to run against President Trump in November. Way to go Democrats!

While either Biden or Sanders will be their main man, the other half of the ticket is wide open.

Eliza Relman and Jake Lahut of Business Insider write that political scientists and democratic operatives say that former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders “would be smart to look for a younger running mate, preferably a woman or a person of color — or both.”

Biden has already said his choice for a running mate would have to be someone who could act almost like an equal partner in the White House. He said at a December town hall in Peterborough, New Hampshire, “I can think of seven women off the top of my head” who could be his running mate.

But former deputy director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Ian Russell said beyond being a woman, the vice-presidential pick should be one that energizes college-educated suburban women, and black and Latino voters, who voted overwhelmingly for Democratic House candidates in the 2018 midterms.

“It’s got to be somebody that the Democratic Party can see its future in,” said Russel.

Watch the video as Ben Shapiro, Andrew Klavan, Michael Knowles, and Daily Wire’s Jeremy Boreing discuss who Biden or Sanders might choose and why. Some of the names will be familiar to you and one will be a shock. It’s not who you think!
