Philadelphia Restricts Catholic Social Services from Placing Children in Christian Homes

The growing divide between secular government bureaucrats and religious institutions will ultimately turn into the suffering of Philadelphia area children. That’s because officials in the City of Brotherly Love have turned their backs on good-hearted Catholics who are caring for children in dire circumstances.

On this One America News Network (OAN) segment of Tipping Point posted on YouTube, host Liz Wheeler brings to light an underreported news story that Philadelphia has barred Catholic Social Services from placing needy children with safe families to look after them.

Bringing a news report directly from Washington, D.C., OAN’s senior contributor Inez Feltscher is covering an emerging lawsuit brought by the Beckett Fund on behalf of impacted foster parents fighting to help children.

Despite the fact the city has an overwhelming need to place children in foster care, reports are surfacing that the religious institution and secular bureaucracy did not see eye to eye. Rather than find common ground in the best interests of the marginalized youths, the city moved to teach Catholic Social Services a lesson: either fall in line with secular doctrine or get out of the child-caring business.

Already, several families could lose children they have grown attached to and those youngsters face being housed in state institutions.

Take a moment and check out this OAN exclusive posted on YouTube and find out what this culture war between city officials and Catholic Social Services is really about. It will shock you!
