When Smith College staffer complained that she was repeatedly silenced and told she couldn’t present certain information, left-wing forces berated her. She was targeted and told her skin color was the problem, not the anti-White policies and platforms at the school. The side crying for reparations at colleges and universities due to slavery that happened more than 100 years ago seems to harbor a deep-seated disdain for people who don’t share their skin color.
What makes this case even more telling than the 2020 riots, looting, murders, and attacks on police officers from Black Lives Matter thugs is that this Smith College staff person is, or perhaps was, a card-carrying liberal. This White employee was making less money than Blacks and minority co-workers and was passed over for promotion due to racial bias.

My family had nothing to do with American slavery. We came to this country in the mid-1900’s. Anyone worried about slavery is simply seeking another government handout. Yea America! To receive reparation for slavery, you should be at least 155 years old. Unless you refer to Muslim slavery, Egyptian slavery, Chinese slavery…the list does not end. We beat you at a war; we enslave your able-bodied. Since Forever! I have shared this before but this article requires me to share it again.
In 1970 when I got my DD214 from Navy service I tried to sign up with Carpenters Local 69 in Connecticut. I was told I had to first go thru State Dept of Labor officer. I went there snd was told by the black official that (I quote) “We have enough of you and need to put black peoples in that Union”. I walked out that door- found my own job as apprentice carpenter and am still a it 51 years later.
And they are still at it!! History has shown that, whilst white “middle of the road” liberals start revolutions and use lawless mobs these mobs have no loyalty and turn on their initial supporters. Ask the mayor of Portland OR. Ask the people of Minneapolis now spending $6 million to Refund the police. Moderates on both sides, Dems and Republicans, are fine but our WH, congress and senate are stashed with supposed extremists whose main role seems to be to fund themselves. How does someone who has only worked on local, state and national government salaries become multi millionaires?

Back about 10 years ago I watched a trend that I called reverse discrimination. Like you stated slavery has been a thing of the past for over 100 years. Nobody and I mean nobody living today was responsible for slavery nor has anybody owned slaves that’s living to day. People think that white people should pay a monetary sum to black people as a reparation payment. I’ll say it again, nobody living in today’s time has ever been a slave nor have anybody owned slaves. I can’t speak for what people did 100+ year ago. The only thing we can do is learn from it and move forward.
Now the disgusting thing about the race issues today is the fact that Democratic politicians are using race issues as a way to get votes. Joe Biden himself had friends who were active leadership in the KKK in the 1960’ and early 70’s, but he insist on making races out of everything. White Democratic leaders in Congress has remade everything. Just the morning I was watching a talk show that had Michelle Obama on there and she made a comment that she could not even sleep in the White House because all she could think about was the fact that slaves built it. What she failed to tell everyone was these “slaves” were paid and they were given a place to stay and fed. In my opinion if they were paid to build a building they become a worker just like anybody that has a construction job today.
I don’t have all of the answers to racism but I can surly tell you that reverse discrimination or whatever you want to call it is not the answer. Everybody is equal and should be judged on there own merits. I know before I retired I worked black people and I worked criminal cases where blacks were the victims and/or the suspect and I can tell you I never treated anybody any different. I treated everybody the same regardless. I was raised to respect everyone because we are all children of God. I apologize for the long text but it make my blood boil every time I hear this crap.

If you study history of the world far enough back you will discover that most civilizations had slaves usually from different tribes or other countries. Well my mother’s and her Fathers people came over here to America from all over Europe and were put on boats as indentured people from the rich in America to pay for their passage. The Owners then decided when their debt was paid off. Some never got their freedom and stayed slaves for their debts because the rich Americans said they would never pay off their debts. They were charged for everything, nothing was given to them. No food ,clothes, roof over their heads. That was added to their debts. Some died without ever being free to live their own lives. Does Black Irish help not being considered white or not . It is being racist against anybody no matter what color you are! Racist is Racist PERIOD!
