Brittany Petterson was elected to Congress in the 2022 midterms and now she won’t stop lugging her baby everywhere with her on Capitol Hill. On the one hand, it’s amazing that a Democrat managed to overcome her internal impulses to abort the child. On the other, what is she doing to this poor kid now?!
Rep. Petterson won’t stop dragging the baby to committee hearings. She did it again this week and had the poor child on her lap fidgeting the whole time as she was questioning witnesses.
We realize that she probably doesn’t have great maternal instincts as a Democrat. Plus, she had the child at 43, so she barely beat the clock. But why doesn’t one of her colleagues let her know that Congress has its own daycare?
It’s not just any daycare, either. Your tax dollars pay for it and Congress doesn’t skimp on things it buys for itself. Picture the largest McDonald’s PlayLand ever built and combine it with amazing, fully vetted childcare professionals and round-the-clock security protecting it. The House Childcare Center is open 18 hours a day.
But no. Rep. Petterson drags her poor child around for a prop. She’s not doing the poor kid any favors. Matt Walsh has another suggestion for her. If she’s not willing to leave the baby in daycare, why not just stay home and be a mom?
