Let’s get something straight. According to the left, President Trump has completely failed in his response to the pandemic. Meanwhile, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is a paragon of leadership and exactly who we should all want to be in charge of everything.
Let’s check the scoreboard for a moment. As a nation, the U.S. is doing much, much better than most of the world in response to the Chinese virus. Our death rates are lower, our testing is higher, our treatments are better and our hospitals have not been overrun.
Meanwhile, New York has fared worse than any other state in the country. In fact, they’ve fared worse than every other state in the country, combined. Governor Andrew Cuomo’s state is the location for half of the fatalities we’ve seen as a nation. That’s not a good sign.
Why is anyone holding up Governor Cuomo as a symbol of success in this pandemic?
Cuomo himself has admitted that he hasn’t been the best in this situation. He has frequently praised President Trump for getting supplies where they need to go. He has also noted how other governors have outperformed him.
Take his word for it. You’ll find his statement in this video. Of course, he’ll try to blame his shortcomings on the federal government and President Trump, but that’s just how leftists work.
