NY Church “We Are Not a Gun Free Zone”

After the very bizarre shooting in Las Vegas- that has yet to be fully explained- and the attack on a Texas church in a gun free zone- a lot of people have begun to speak out about the real danger that is posed when crowds of people gather in gun free zones.

As most gun owners understand, placing restrictions on the ability of law-abiding citizens to own and carry guns only makes these law-abiding citizens easier targets for those who have no respect for the law. What’s more, when restrictions are placed on people’s freedom to defend themselves and others- not only are we put at risk by those who would break the law to commit crime- but we are also at risk when the government fails to enforce the law.

That is what happened in the Texas church shooting. The shooter, Devin Patrick Kelley was convicted of domestic violence against a woman and a child. He was also dishonorably discharged from the military. But the system that should have prevented him from getting guns failed and he passed a background check.

Fortunately, a local man was armed and competent in the use of his AR-15 and was able to stop Kelly before he could kill more.

Now, one NY church is taking a stand against policies that would make them a soft target for mass killers. They are refusing to let their church be made into a gun free zone. Watch the clip below for more details on this church’s message to people who want to threaten their parishioners.
