Vice President Kamala Harris recently went viral for all the wrong reasons after she promised hurricane victims who just lost everything a measly $750 FEMA payment, but evidently, the Democrat controlled federal government seems to think even that is too much!
FEMA has been DENYING people’s request for that $750 which is supposed to be critical emergency relief to cover things like food, water, and medicine.
Even the daughter of a North Carolina mayor was turned down for the pitiful $750 after her house was completely destroyed by the floodwaters brought on by Hurricane Helene.
Newland Mayor Derek Roberts said that his daughter applied for the FEMA assistance and even met with a FEMA rep but was rejected.
“My daughter, whose house got completely wiped out, she has no flood insurance. She meets with a FEMA person, applies for everything…she doesn’t get the $750 that Kamala says she is supposed to get,” Roberts said.
He said that everything on the first floor of her house was wiped out “we hauled everything off, it’s gone.”
But FEMA only approved her for $300.
“[She] gets approved for $300 for personal items. What’s that supposed to do?” he continued. “That’s literally all she got… that won’t even cover what’s in her refrigerator.”
Our government has sent $200+ billion to Ukraine, but American citizens in need only get $300?
Absolute insanity.
