Newsom’s Meltdown: Trump’s Historic Middle East Triumph

It takes a special kind of ego to watch a historic peace deal unfold on the world stage — one that ends a brutal war and brings hostages home — and still make it about yourself. But if anyone’s up to the task, it’s California’s favorite hairsprayed tantrum machine, Gavin Newsom.

While President Donald Trump stood tall in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, brokering a multi-nation peace agreement to end the Gaza war and reunite 20 Israeli hostages with their families, Newsom was back in California throwing a fit like a kid who didn’t get picked for dodgeball. Instead of celebrating peace or even staying quiet, Newsom went full toddler meltdown, attacking Trump’s leadership and framing the whole thing as some kind of authoritarian stunt.

Let’s be clear: this is a historic win. Not just for Israel, but for the world. And Trump pulled it off. Again.

Trump’s record on supporting American Jews and the State of Israel is unmatched. In his first term, he gave us the Abraham Accords — real, lasting peace deals, not empty photo-ops. He recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. He moved the U.S. embassy there, despite decades of cowardice from past administrations. He recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights. And now, in 2025, he’s doing it all again — stronger, bolder, and with even more results.

Antisemitism is exploding on college campuses. Trump’s not just talking about it — he’s doing something. His administration is cracking down on universities that let Jewish students get harassed, threatened, and silenced. Columbia University just got slammed with a $221 million fine for turning a blind eye to antisemitism. That’s not just a slap on the wrist. That’s a wake-up call.

And for foreign students who think they can come here and spew Hamas propaganda? Trump’s already deporting them. Play stupid games, get a one-way ticket home.

Meanwhile, Newsom is busy pretending California is a shining beacon of Jewish safety — while antisemitic protests rage on UC campuses and Jewish students are afraid to walk to class. But hey, at least he’s got his hair perfectly coiffed while the state burns (literally and figuratively).

Newsom’s reaction to Trump’s success is so childish, it’s almost impressive. Former Ambassador Ric Grenell summed it up perfectly in this tweet:

What we’re witnessing is the difference between leadership and narcissism. Trump is securing peace, defending Jewish lives, and putting America back in a position of strength. Newsom is whining on social media, clinging to relevance, and throwing shade because he can’t stand to see Trump win — again.

The truth is, Democrats can’t handle Trump being effective. They’d rather see chaos than admit he’s right. Peace in the Middle East? Must be a fluke. Jewish students being protected? Must be fascism. Military strength? Clearly a threat to “democracy.” Give us a break.

Trump doesn’t need Gavin’s approval. He’s too busy doing what presidents are supposed to do — lead. While Newsom stomps his feet on the sidelines, Trump is making history — and the world is watching.

And let’s be honest — if Newsom ever had to broker a peace deal, it would probably involve a vegan charcuterie board, a TED Talk, and a lecture on climate equity. Thankfully, the adults are back in charge.
