Gavin Newsom just pulled off one of the most awkward political interviews of the year—and that’s saying something. The California governor showed up on NBC’s *Meet the Press* and tried to dance around questions about Joe Biden like he was auditioning for *Dancing with the Stars*. Spoiler: he flopped.
Host Kristen Welker asked the question every sane American wants to know: Did you really believe Joe Biden could serve another four years? Newsom’s answer? A word salad that would make Kamala Harris proud.
“I go home with the one that—” he stammered, trying to twist the old “dance with the one who brought you” line into something resembling a coherent thought. Then he pivoted to babbling about how he just spoke to Biden and how privileged he feels. Okay, Gavin—but that wasn’t the question.
Welker pressed again: “Did you *legitimately* believe he was capable?” Newsom dodged again, saying his focus was on stopping Trump. Translation? He knew Biden was toast, but they all lied to keep the charade going.
Then came the real punch: “What do you say to Americans who feel misled by you and other top Democrats?” And suddenly, Newsom looked like a deer in headlights.
“I never experienced— I’m not going to substitute myself for someone else,” he replied, before launching into a bizarre ramble about how Biden gave a “master class” in December. Right. Because when America thinks of mental sharpness, they definitely think of Joe Biden in December.
Let’s be honest here. Newsom didn’t want to admit what we all knew months ago—Biden was in no shape to run the country, let alone run for re-election. The Democrats knew it, they covered it up, and now they’re trying to rewrite history.
Watch the video and see for yourself how deep the denial goes.
