Newsom Continues to Make a Hash of the Wildfire Recovery Efforts

Oakland, CA - August 12, 2022: Governor Gavin Newsom speaking at the Chabot Space and Science Center, where VP Kamala Harris will speak about California's innovative Space Industry.

California Governor Gavin Newsom, who lusts for the presidency with an indecency that’s difficult to even describe, continues to make a total mess out of the recovery efforts after the 2024 Great Fires of Los Angeles.

Despite President Trump’s offer to provide relief to the people, Newsom refuses to meet the concessions that the president demanded as a condition for taxpayer aid. As a result, it’s likely going to be 18 months before anyone can even start rebuilding their destroyed homes.

The layers of incompetence that were required to burn Pacific Palisades to the ground have been covered extensively. There was no water in the hydrants, the reservoirs were dry, and there were more than 100 fire trucks in the shop for repairs when the fires hit.

But now that people have lost their homes, they are discovering that it will take 18 months before they can even break ground to rebuild. Imagine having to pay the mortgage on your property that’s burned to the ground, while also renting a place to live while you try to wait out the draconian California permitting process.

Most of those people are going to lose their property because they can’t afford to wait out Gavin Newsom’s environmentalist policies. It’s going to be another big land grab just like the one in Lahaina, Hawaii.

Jimmy Dore talks with a Pacific Palisades developer about the many ways Governor Newsom has completely screwed up the recovery efforts. Watch:
