News Stories the Mainstream Media Isn’t Telling You

Talking about the dishonesty of mainstream media feels like beating a dead horse at this point. They’ve been lying wholesale for years, and they’ve never shown the slightest remorse. The problem is that they still have a loud voice, and many Americans, especially younger Americans, get caught in their deception. So, until we find our country served by a genuinely objective and honest media, we have to continue to point out their corrupt reporting.

The most devious, insidious and effective way mainstream media deceives the masses is in what they don’t say. Lies of omission are still lies, and in the hand of the media, they are powerful tools for controlling opinions.

Many Americans still believe that owning a gun puts you in more danger than not owning one, for instance. That’s because major media outlets have failed to report a single one of the hundreds of cases this year where armed citizens stopped mass shootings before anyone innocent was harmed. It’s basically a daily event, but you only hear about the shootings that aren’t stopped (because they invariably happen in gun-free zones).

Some other classic lies of omission that are worth mentioning pertain to former President Obama. About half of all Americans still don’t know that Obama actually committed more resources, dropped more bombs and killed more people under his authority than George W. Bush. In fact, Obama ordered more military action than the previous three presidents combined. Truths like this show you the power of omission.

Just in the past week, mainstream media has put this tactic to full use in the hopes of swaying the midterm elections. Don’t worry, Obama is still under their protection. You can see their five biggest lies of omission in this video. It’s ok to be angry while you watch, but stick it out to the end. Despite your anger, you need to stay informed.
