A new documentary focusing on the life of Pete Buttigieg is about to hit screens and it might not be as flattering to him as he hopes. Specifically the doc shows that Buttigieg is kind of an empty shell, who appears to be nothing more than a carefully curated image.
The South Bend mayor turned leader of transportation under Biden after a failed bid win Democrat’s presidential nomination, is now out with a documentary on the “real” Buttigieg. The only problem is that there doesn’t appear to be much more to the man featured in the film.
According to the promotions of the film, those who work with him behind the scenes feel like the former Mayor Pete is always “on,” projecting a public persona rather than ever presenting his authentic self and real personality.
While that’s all well and good, it doesn’t leave much for a good documentary. Little emotion, not willing to share much, a low level of conflict. It’s really just a story about a politicians who ran for president and now has a cabinet job.
Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti of the Breaking Points show declare Buttigieg is even emptier than previously thought. Instead of the documentary giving him some kind of win, it proved the opposite. There’s nothing more to see here, folks.
