Netflix’s “The Queen’s Gambit” is Another Example of Hollywood Sneaking in Liberalism into Our Everyday Lives

Have you heard of “The Queen’s Gambit” yet? It’s the latest big deal from Netflix. The show is all about a woman playing chess to great success. It’s a smash hit. Everyone is talking about it.

Interest in chess is skyrocketing. Chess social media influencers (yes, that’s a thing now) are gaining popularity. Everyone is picking up one of the oldest strategy games to test their mettle.

Of course, the show isn’t really about chess at all. You probably could have guessed as much. Chess might be the topic, but it’s really just a vehicle for Liberals to push their narrative on us.

You already know what the narrative is. “The Queen’s Gambit” is here to tell you that social justice is the most important thing in the world. Women are just as good as men at everything, even though gender is just a social construct.

If you plan to watch this series, prepare yourself. The agenda will be stuffed down your throat at every turn. It will be like Star Wars all over again. Something we could potentially all enjoy together (great chess in this case) is going to be tainted by an annoying narrative that we’re tired of hearing.

Lest you frustrate yourself watching the show uninformed, you can get the short breakdown from someone you trust. Dinesh D’Souza uses this video to cover the annoying and problematic ideas pushed by “The Queen’s Gambit.”

  1. Of course gender is a social construct. Gender is grammatical. It’s part of language which is a social construct. Now sex, however, is biological and Mother Nature is not a woke philosophy.

    1. from way, way back in the 50’s:
“As we all go down in a blaze of drunken glory, repeat after me: ‘SEX!, The only answer'”
Naturally, that was followed by CURIOUS YELLOW (are you old enough to remember that one?) and it’s been downhill ever since.

  2. Net Fix is as usual following the wok trail. You instinctively know, when you see the Obama name being involved, that someone is trying to lead you down the garden path to the Socialism “happy ever after” theme. Socialism (Obama) by either name is a path to poverty for all, EXCEPT the few leaders. who will take your money, spend it as they see fit (upper class vs peons) and imprison any dissents who may disagree with the “party line” and send you to reeducation camps like the Socialist (communist) Chinese do. So people take an elder’s advice and read the “Constitution of the United States, the history of the founders of this free country, if you can find the truth, and stop the sheeple attitude. Think for yourself and stand up against the oppressive regime trying to take over and destroy OUR COUNTRY!

    1. ICANNOT AGREE MORE!! JUST LOOK AT WHAT HAPPENED IN BRAZIL, NICARAGUA, HUNDRUAS, CUBA, FRANCE JUST TO NAME A FEW. I’VE LIVED IT AND THEY SHOULD GO THERE AND TRY IT..YOU WILL NOT LIKE IT!! IDIOTS!! ALL OF YOU WHO VOTED FOR THIS/TO DESTROY OUR GREAT FREEDOM’S…..

    2. BRAZIL HAS A TRUMP TYPE AND IS TRYING TO GET BACK OUT AFTER THEY BANKRUPTED THE COUNTRY!! NOT EASY!! THERE MAY BE BOOD SPILLED..

    3. Couldn’t have said it better… A rouge is a rouge…. Either Obama or Clinton… What’s in a name….. They both are the same?

  3. BRAZIL HAS A TRUMP TYPE AND IS TRYING TO GET BACK OUT AFTER THEY BANKRUPTED THE COUNTRY!! NOT EASY!! THERE MAY BE BOOD SPILLED..

  4. I have also come to the conclusion that the present cultural misère which, in good Freudian tradition, shows its roots and depth in Sexuality, respectively its Denial first came to surface in our 60/70ies Rebellion. On our side, in France and West-Germany, the Denial/Rejection of our Parents was result of what Fascism, War and Denial had revealed: A past world lied about and wiped under a not-really-existing carpet.

Whereas in East Germany, quite a ‘clean-up’ took place, in the West, nothing of the kind had really happened [just to give an example: Not one of Hitler’s ‘Blood-Judges’ was prosecuted or removed]. So, we had some good reasons to doubt the “goodness” of our parent generation, and I saw it in many of my fellow students [although I myself had none of those problems] – although I put it more to their situations at home: They came mostly from ‘better-off’ families where the better social standing and luxury stood in reverse relation to their ‘family life’ and ’emotional home feeling’.

In France, the “where were you in the war?” had surfaced in the doubtful “Résistance” past of many parents who had, in fact, been eager ‘Collaborateurs’ who also betrayed others in their country, and most of them, the Jews. One of the shocking demonstrations that appeared on French student’s lips was the song of “Nous sommes tous des Juifs et des Allemands!” – a protest against the planned expulsion of the German-Jewish French student leader mentioned in the article above: Daniel Cohn-Bendit. It was not only Daniel’s expulsion. It was a clear reminder of French Collaboration in the Holocaust!

The Sexual Revolution was, in so far, mostly a political one – it was less Freud than one of his aberrant disciples Wilhelm Reich and his “Orgon-Theory” promising Free Orgasm that pushed the “Sexual Liberation” forward. The identification of Sexual-Suppression in Orwell’s ‘1984’ and in Hitler’s presumed Anti-Sexuality and proven Anti-Homosexuality led to automatic identifying all traditional ‘Courting, Petting, Marriage, Family, Faithfulness as outdated and “oppressive” – an error which our female colleagues discovered earlier than we did – but we all did – most of us. But now, the generation of our children falls for a much worse error.

It was a strange thing: We thought of some change being needed very much – and the Frankfurt School was highly regarded. So was the Odenwald-School for its reported progressive teaching and influence: The most highly regarded school in (W)Germany.
And I must admit: I was shocked when I, only recently, read what kind of “progressive” that school had been [it had long been closed because of its sexual exploitation of students by teachers – and other students].

So, we had two strains along which our ‘Rebellion’ had evolved, in France as in Germany: “bad political past” and “bad social/family relations”. From here, the American explosion was somehow inexplicable or “out of the blue”. They did not have our strong No. 1 cause [guilt feeling of wars and oppression still seems far from the average US person today]. And the No. 2? Yes, I can see that: Suburbia is not holding people together – like our wealthier kids who were keen to “jump the nest”. For us less wealthy ones, it was the protective warmth.

The question now: Can we save that for another generation? Teach our grandchildren?

  5. I saw the series. What you have to keep in mind was the culture for that time period. Of course it’s not like that now, but it was. It’s no different than trying to wipe out the history of slavery. We can look at our past mistakes and say we are better now.

  6. Can’t we just enjoy a movie sometime and not read anything into it? I know we can’t close our eyes and ears, but life is short and it was a entertaining show.?

  7. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even movie makers. As I am. And, my opinion, if a movie is trying to make a political statement, and all i want is entertainment, i do NOT watch it nor spend a dime on it of my direct funds. Same reasons i watch no sports at my home. Might catch part of a game at my cigar lounge, but not my purpose for going there. I vote, in elections, and with my pocketbook. I do not even have a Netflix account, nor any other streaming service. But, that is my opinion….

    1. Good opinion!
I don’t subscribe to any streaming services either and only watch a movie if someone that knows me tells me it’s worth watching. I appreciate the old ones and learn more on many levels and how creative the movie makers skills are. Similarly, I love baseball, and hockey, entertaining, amazing skills, dog and a beer, but
when fewer players stand for our flag and freedom, then bye bye!

  8. I cancelled my netflix account many years ago and I won’t be reactivating it. I don’t go to Dicks and many of the other places that purely far left wing. Its impossible to avoid them all.

  9. If you want a another example of a movie preaching modern social justice, and ruining a great story, check out last year’s “A Christmas Carol” from FX. I was so bad I could hardly watch it! It starts out with a kid pissing on Jacob Marley’s grave,, and goes down hill from there; even to the point of Mrs. Cratchit offering herself sexually to Scrooge for money…. And then at the end of the movie, her facing the camera as if you’re next to be Woke. One sick puppy….

  10. There is yet another reason I don’t do Netflix. Moochell (big Mike) is on the board of directors. That’s all I need to know.
