The Capitol police don’t answer to anyone other than the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi. Their performance during the January 6, 2021, mobbing of the House chamber by misguided rowdies was atrocious. The only death was an unarmed demonstrator and Air Force veteran, Ashli Babbitt.
The DOJ investigated the shooting. In double-negative legalese, the DOJ said that “the investigation revealed no evidence to establish that, at the time the officer fired a single shot at Ms. Babbitt, the officer did not reasonably believe that it was necessary to do so in self-defense or in defense of the Members of Congress and others evacuating the House Chamber.”
The report ends: “Acknowledging the tragic loss of life and offering condolences to Ms. Babbitt’s family, the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Department of Justice have therefore closed the investigation into this matter.”
Not so fast. There is a load of questions that were neither asked nor answered in this shameful killing. That’s because the Capitol Police answer to no one but Nancy Pelosi. It is also in spite of information uncovered by Judicial Watch that indicated that:
- The shooter, U.S. Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd, “did not create a police report or documents” related to the shooting…”
- In the press release announcing the decision not to prosecute Byrd…the DOJ replaced the words “group” and “crowd” with the word “mob” several times.

One man died at site and one later at hospital, because these exploding items hit both men directly in the chest. It caused heart attacks and death. Why has this not been put out there. As a member of the Republican National committee many years ago when the IRS was illegally targeting Republicans , I was audited. I actually scared after the 2020 election, knowing how crooked the Democrats running and in congress are.
