Liberals LOVE to pretend like every illegal alien in this country is merely a “mother who came here for a better life for her children” and as a result they NEVER talk about all of the harm caused by their open border policies.
Some of their politicians, like New York Governor Kathy Hochul seem SO committed to maintaining this lie that they’re not even aware of how bad things really are – or at least they pretend not to be.
But during a Congressional hearing on sanctuary policies, the New York governor was FORCED to sit and face all the damage that these migrants had caused to the people of her state thanks to her support for open-border and sanctuary city policies.
Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) confronted Hochul over her repeated signing of executive orders declaring New York to be a sanctuary state before then listing to her the names of several illegal aliens who came to the state as a result of those policies, along with the heinous crimes they committed.
“Do you know who Sakir Akkan is?” Stefanik asked Hochul repeatedly as she tried desperately to change the subject.
When the Democrat governor finally admitted SHE DIDN’T EVEN KNOW who the violent criminal was, Stefanik made sure she knew.
“He was an illegal migrant in New York… This was widely reported, he found a 15-year-old girl, threatened her with a metal pole, told her to get into the backseat of his car, he took her clothes off and he violently raped her in Albany, New York.”
And this was just ONE of the names that Stefanik gave the governor… but she didn’t stop there.
