Shark Tank Star and O’Leary Ventures Chairman Kevin O’Leary has been an outspoken critic of China, revealing that they’re an even worse trade partner than most people realize.
Now, he has revealed what he views as President Donald Trump’s SECRET WEAPON to win the trade war with China for good.
O’Leary noted that most people missed this but Paul Atkins was recently confirmed by the Senate to be the new head of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Trump chose Atkins to head the SEC back in December 2024, saying that Atkins is a “proven leader” who will help “make our economy the best in the world.”
As O’Leary points out, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), who heads up the Senate Banking Committee, subsequently revealed that he had asked Atkins to enforce a law which would lead to the delisting of dozens if not hundreds of Chinese companies listed on the American stock exchanges.
Currently there are 286 Chinese companies listed on U.S. exchanges, with a total market cap north of $1 trillion. Most, if not all, of them are owned and operated by the Chinese government.
If these companies were to be delisted this would instantly deal a MASSIVE blow to the Chinese economy and destroy many of their most powerful companies.
This could be the ace up Trump’s sleeve when it comes to the trade war!
