Most normal people who are not political hacks now recognize this truth: The shutdowns over a virus with a 99.6% survival rate was one of the dumbest mistakes that any nation has ever made, in the entire history of the world.
This disease turned out to be such a nothing-burger for people under the age of 45 that most folks who had it will never know that they had it — unless they get tested for antibodies. Meanwhile, Democrat Governors acted like serial killers by sending infected patients to nursing homes. These disastrous “mistakes” were made in order to try to drum President Trump out of office in November.
Trump seems to have learned from this and he’s now encouraging schools to reopen in the fall. The biggest obstacle to that right now is the teacher’s unions, which hate Trump and want Creepy Joe in office so they can get back to business as usual. The unions are claiming that it will put kids and teachers at risk, despite all the science saying pretty much the exact opposite.
“Cases are spiking!” Yes, of course they are. We have more widespread testing now and the other side of that equation is that the death rate is plummeting as the virus weakens and as we develop better treatment methods (Hydroxychloroquine, anyone?). The president took testimony from the public the other day on whether schools should reopen in the fall.
